Persona Awakening Challenge: Koda Rivera

(Since I'm interested in the Persona series, I thought I'd try it out as well. It will be based on the awakenings of Persona 5, and it's only just for fun.)

(Warning: Has a little swearing in it)

"Whoa, what the-?"

Koda was outside the entrance of what looked like a castle.

"Is that a castle? What's it doing here?"

He looks back at his phone.

"Did this app create the castle? Weird."

Koda walks inside the castle and comes into the lobby.

"Hello? Anyone here?"

Just then, a couple of Shadows appear.

"There's the intruder!"

"Huh?"

Koda sees the Shadows coming to him.

"Apprehend him!"

"Yikes!"

He tries to leave, but 2 more Shadows appear out of nowhere blocking the exit.

"Aah!"

He then gets grabbed by the Shadows and dragged away.

"Hey, let go!"

He gets taken to the throne room and sees a shadow king wearing a royal outfit.

Koda: "Who are you?"

??: "I am the king of this castle. You think you can just sneak in here and do what you please?"

Koda: "What are you talking about? I didn't sneak in here."

??: "Tch, excuses. You don't really know your place do you?"

(Snaps his fingers)

A containment device in the shape of an X is brought into the throne room. Koda then gets dragged over and is tied up to it.

"Let me go!"

He tries to struggle free, but to no avail.

"(chuckles) What a lively slave. People like you are so easy to take advantage of."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You're too nice for your own good. You wouldn't last long in this world."

"What's wrong with me being nice?"

"Those who care about others are the most gullible ones. You think everyone appreciates your help? Some people in this world take advantage of helpers like you and you're too gullible to realize that."

"You don't know that." (Starts sounding a little sad)

"People like you are meant to be taken advantage of. You're too weak helping others and supporting people other than just yourself. The weak are foolish and naïve."

"That's not true. It's not."

"You foolish child. Virtue, Sentience, and empathy are for losers!"

"No, that's just who I am." (Starts tearing up a bit)

"Then, you're just idiotic."

"No I'm not."

Unknown Voice: "You're not gonna just listen to him, are you?"

"Huh?" Koda said to himself

"Are you really naïve just because you're nice? Well, are you?"

"No, I'm not naïve. Sure I'm nice all the time, but that's how I like it."

"What about being weak, like he said?"

"No, I'm not weak. If he doesn't like me being nice, that's his problem. Not mine" (Starts sounding serious)

"What are you mumbling about?" The Shadow asked

"Tell him. You won't regret it."

"Me being nice is how I like it. You can't tell me how to act in life." (stops tearing up)

"You still plan on being an idiot? You're hopeless. But I tire of this little chat, it's time that I-"

"Shut up!"

"Hmm?"

(Persona 5 Awakening Theme)

"You don't know anything about me. You're the idiot here!"

"Seems you've made up your mind.

"My heart's been set. You oughta know!"

"Alright, then let's get on with our contract."

"Agh!!" (starts feeling something and struggles in pain)

"Even a nice person like you can fight back if pushed hard enough. He doesn't know what you're really capable of. Don't let him tell you otherwise."

"GAH!! UGH!!"

"I am thou, thou art I."

(screams in pain and stops struggling)

"Show this bastard how wrong he is! Run wild to your heart's content!"

(lifts his head and a mask appears. Koda breaks free from his restraints)

"Very well then."

"What the-?"

Koda grabs his mask and starts pulling on it. A little bit of blood comes out and then, the whole mask is ripped off.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"

Koda is then wrapped up inside a blue aura.

"What the hell!?"

(Persona 5 Will Power theme)

When the bright light fades a little, an anthro wolf is standing behind Koda. It was wearing a black cavalier with a white feather tucked under a red hatband, navy-blue coat, white short-sleeved shirt, black fingerless gloves, denim pants, and brown leather boots.

"(deep breaths) Man, that hurt."

He then opened his eyes and looked at himself. Koda's clothes had completely changed. He was wearing a white ankle-length hooded coat, black shirt, blue pants, white fingerless gloves, black combat boots.

"Whoa, when did my clothes change? How-" But then it hit him. "Oh, now I get it. This is how I can fight back."

"Who the hell do you think you are? GUARDS!!"

Just then, the four Shadows from earlier surrounded Koda.

"Deal with him! Don't sully my castle with this piece of garbage!"

The Shadow King then left.

"You want a fight? Fine then."

(Assumes a battle pose)

"Time to show you my wild side! Let's go Kaden!"
